Training for Life

If you regularly receive our emails you will be familiar with the expression, `Training for Life' but what does it mean? The 'Training for Life' course is a five‑faceted curriculum. it is; 1) Spiritual, 2) Practical, 3) Creative, 4) Physical and 5) Ministerial. The purpose of the course is to train and equip people to live their life in all its fullness, as God intended (John 10: 10). To do this we need a personal revelation of the fundamental importance of selfless servant-hood.
Jesus came as a servant; '....the Son of Man did not come to be served. but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.' Matthew 20:28). In this verse there is a key which when understood will unlock fulfilment, joy peace, victory and success to all who take hold of the revelation.
Jesus said, 'If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.’ (Mark 9:35). To be a winner with God, to be first, to succeed and win we must humble ourselves and serve. Not in some super‑spiritual way where we say, 'I'm serving God' yet we do very little in the real world. No, our faith must be active and outworked through serving others. You see, 'Faith without works is dead' (James 2:26 NKJV) and without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Abraham, the father of our faith, served God in loving obedience making many sacrifices, so God credited his faith to him as righteousness and called him his friend. As we give our all to Jesus our LORD, being faithful to fulfil the greatest commandment to, ‘Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' and also the second to, 'Love your neighbour as yourself ` (Matthew 22:37-39), then we too will become friends of Jesus (John15:15).

The journey that will lead us into this intimacy with Christ Jesus is one of Faith, Obedience and Sacrifice through a surrendered, humble life of joyous selfless-servant-hood.

Participants in our 'Training for Life' (TFL) course will work closely with a Life Leader who will build a relationship (a life) with each of the trainees (disciples) in their small group. Initially we are looking for only SIX trainees who will be led by a team of TWO leaders, (i.e. Two groups of  Three trainees plus One Life Leader)
All the Life Leaders are men and women who have the servant-hood revelation, who are humble servants and friends of God. They are people who have been with or around our ministry for some time. They know our heart and they know God's heart for the vision. They are people with a love for people and who have been trained in the word with our ministry or a relating ministry. They all love the LORD.
Our aim is that the Life Leaders will impart all that they have into the trainees/disciples in their group. Learning from real‑life situations. Learning how to respond correctly as Jesus would.
Initially we will look in the bible at how people related to life and God before Jesus. Following on, we will see how Jesus related to life and God and. in conclusion. we will look at how people related to life and God after Jesus went back to heaven. Through what we discover we will be able to live our own lives in all its fullness.
Referring to the five‑facets mentioned previously we see;
1)   Our spiritual life is developed through teaching from the bible and Godly lifestyle as we live out our lives in humility and reverence with holiness before God and men.
2)   Through the practical work of everyday life we learn the joy of servant-hood

3)      In creative workshops the Holy Spirit reveals the majesty and the magnitude of God the creator.
4)      As we learn to care for our physical bodies we are able to present ourselves before people and God in a way that brings Father all the glory.
5)      Through ministerial opportunities, the trainees will be able to share with others all that they are receiving.
Everyone who participates in the course will learn how to serve God and others. Empowered by the Holy Spirit they will be equipped to be victorious in life where ever they go. Be it Scotland, throughout the UK or abroad, our trainees will know how to maximise the potential of every situation for the benefit of others and the glory of God.
We aim to train and develop all who join us to be successful for God. Through the application of fundamental revelations you will be fulfilled by the grace of God. Whether you outwork your faith in secular employment or in the kingdom you will know you are blessed to be a blessing.
Because of your intimacy with Jesus others will come to know Him. A life dedicated to serving God produces Christ‑likeness therefore you will be a living testimony to the goodness of God. You will be trained for such a life.
You can ‘Train for Life’ as a resident our ministry base full‑board for £120.00 per week or non‑residential for £20.00 per day. You may prefer the option to become a ‘Trainee/Volunteer’: full-board cost £60 per week.
During this time the main input will be from your Life Leader and there will also be input also from visiting leaders and output opportunities for every trainee at various locations.
There are no fixed term dates for The Training for Life Course. This is a perpetual course. It starts the day the trainee arrives and. in some ways, it never stops. The fundamentals of the course will establish a foundation in the trainee’s life which will provide a foundation to build on for the rest of their life.
The Training for Life course can last any length of time although we would like you to be with us for a minimum of one year. This can be part‑time, full‑time or by correspondence.
During this time there will be conferences, missions and special events.
Who will benefit from this course? Everyone! The revelation imparted and the lifestyle developed will benefit everyone who is seeking fulfilment, joy and peace through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
